The international conference CCS at Sea 2026 took place on 7–8 May 2026 at the Faculty of Law, Lund University. The conference examined the regulation and governance of offshore carbon capture and storage across several thematic panels.

Professor Lena Gipperth (University of Gothenburg) and Dr Thomas Muinzer (University of Aberdeen) presented on regenerative legal frameworks for biodiversity and climate resilience, and CCS in the context of the net zero transition.

This call for abstracts invited submissions for the international conference CCS at Sea 2026, examining legal frameworks governing carbon capture, transportation and storage across international, EU and maritime law. The call is now closed and the conference programme has been finalised.
