Olena Bokareva specialises in maritime and transport law, EU law, and private law. She obtained her doctoral degree from Lund University in 2015, with research focused on the Rotterdam Rules. Her current work examines liability and compensation frameworks in transportation, with particular emphasis on passenger rights in sea and air transport. She teaches maritime and transportation law and EU law at Lund University.

Gabriela Argüello

Gabriela Argüello specialises in the law of the sea and international environmental law. She holds a JD in Maritime and Transport Law from the University of Gothenburg and an LLM in Maritime Law from Lund University. Her research addresses global environmental challenges related to the oceans, including waste management, ship source pollution, ocean governance and energy transitions. She is a member of the Centre for Collective Action Research (CeCAR) and the Centre for Sea and Society at the University of Gothenburg.

Anıl Öztürk
Postdoctoral Researcher in Law, Lund University
Anıl Öztürk specialises in comparative law with a focus on the legal implications of emerging technologies. He holds a PhD in Law from Maynooth University. His research examines the intersection of AI, robotics and digital systems with international, EU and private law, addressing questions of regulatory innovation, liability and governance. His work in this project focuses on private actors’ responsibilities and liabilities under international, EU, maritime and private law frameworks governing CCS.
